I found this tiny filet crochet poodle on About.com. It doesn’t really look like a poodle to me so I did a little tweaking and came up with this.
The pattern is available for free download. You could also use the chart for embroidery or other art. Remember that this chart is free for personal use.

It’s not the first meeting, but this guy has been up most mornings snuffling around for bugs.
Every week, Sunny and I visit the local library for his therapy dog work. When no kids show up to read to him, I get to peruse the children’s book section. When my artistic aunt from Minnesota was visiting she accompanied us and we looked at books together waiting for readers. Ones we particularly enjoyed was The New Creatures by Mordicai Gerstein and The Sweetest Fig by Chris Van Allsburg. Both had outstanding pictures and good plots.
Maybe someday I should write and illustrate some short run, keepsake children’s books? Naturally some would have to have poodles as the main characters.
