7 Layer Bars

I make a treat every Tuesday night for the Bible study attendees. Tonight will be 7 Layer Bars that no one but a few will like because there are nuts AND coconut in them! I love them though and tonight’s look delish.


Seven Layer Bars

1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
8 crushed graham crackers
1 cup (1/2 pkg) semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup (1/2 pkg) butterscotch chips
1 cup chopped pecans
1-1/3 cup shredded coconut
14 oz (1 can) sweetened condensed milk

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Melt the butter in a 13″x9″ pan in the oven and swish around to coat all of the bottom. Spread crushed graham crackers evenly over bottom of pan. Layer chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, coconut, and nuts over crumbs. Pour condensed milk over nuts. Bake until edges are golden brown, about 28 minutes. Let cool.
