Whimsical handmade poodle-themed greeting cards.

Welcome! My website is a unique place to find handmade (primarily poodle-themed) greeting cards, postcards, invitations, and announcements for all your special occasions. Every card is laser printed on heavy 80 lb. cardstock and carefully handcolored.

Five percent or more of all poodle card profits goes to various animal organizations and no-kill animal rescue groups and shelters. Don't want me to donate when you purchase your items? Let me know! Visit the links page for the list of charities that I donate to.

October 2008

10/1/08 - Come visit me and Sunny at the Tower Grove Farmer's Market this weekend. The new Christmas card designs will be available.

My friend Bobbi of Down Zipper will be vending this week with me. She makes baby items primarily.

September 2008

9/30/08 - The two new Christmas cards are up for the season. Both are sleepy santas and are based on Norman Rockwell paintings:

9/13/08 - No rain ended up coming today. Oh well, that's okay, but lots is now expected for tomorrow! That hopefully doesn't prevent any of you in the St. Louis area from attending the Town and Country Symphony's concert tomorrow afternoon at Principia on Clayton Road. I will be playing two Puccini songs from La Boheme, Musetta's Waltz and the famous Mimi aria.

9/12/08 - I won't be attending the Tower Grove Farmer's Market this Saturday because lots of rain from Hurricane Ike is expected. The next dates I will be at the farmer's market is October 4th and 25th. See you then!

9/8/08 - Can you tell I created the postcard design for the ShowMe Etsy Crazy Autumn Art and Craft Show coming up this October?

If you print out the card and bring it in to the show, you'll be entered in a raffle to win one of four gift baskets. Each gift basket will have contributions from ShowMe Etsy Street Team members.

9/5/08 - A new poodle Halloween is now available. It's based on a Victorian greeting card.

9/1/08 - Happy Labor Day!

August 2008

8/29/08 - I've updated my porfolio page with more past projects including a series on cows. A larger photo of Poodles Crossing the Delaware (below) is there. The original painting of Washington Crossing the Delaware is at the Met. I hope to see it this fall when I visit NYC.

8/27/08 - I sent a few of my handmade cards for review on the Craft Gossip blog. Here's what Maggie had to say yesterday about my work. She's giving a couple away as well. It looks like it would be easy to enter and win. Doesn't say when the entry deadline is though.

8/15/08 - I updated my public concert schedule and put up some new invitation and calligraphy sample pictures today and yesterday.

Today is also the opening day of the Cool Art and Hot Jazz festival in Queeny Park at the Greensfelder Complex. I'll have my handcolored poodle cards there all weekend in a shared booth with other members of the ShowMeEtsy street team. ShowMeEtsy members create jewelry, beads, knit, crochet, embroider, sew, made soaps, calligraph, and more. If you go you may not see me as I personally will be in and out of the festival during the weekend. Unfortunately, no dogs allowed in the complex.

8/12/08 - I came across an interesting answer to the question "What is a "breeder?" It compares backyard breeders, puppy mills, commercial breeders, hobby breeders, and reputable experienced breeders. I found the information and opinions collected there thought provoking even if you don't agree.

8/11/08 - Haley's Handmades greeting card giveaway on the EtsyGreetings blog. Enter and win until 6am EST tomorrow!

8/7/08 - Come by and visit me and Sunny at the Tower Grove Farmer's Market this Saturday! Bobbi of DownZipper will be joining me Saturday. She does beautiful sewing and embroidery.
