In addition to visual art, I also play harp for receptions, rehearsal dinners, private parties, teas, nursing homes and communities, church services, corporate events, open houses, and as background music around St. Louis. I do not amplify the harp. Discounts are available for senior and church groups. Gig Prices My musical career began with piano study as a young girl. My senior year in high school, I had the opportunity to begin my harp career with lessons given by Melissa Calusio in Austin, Texas. My studies continued at Washington U in St. Louis with lessons from Dr. Sue Taylor. I earned a music minor in 2005. Every Sunday, I play both services (9:30am and 11am) in the Parkway Baptist Church orchestra. As needed, I play with the Washington U Symphony Orchestra and the Town and Country Symphony. Public Concert Schedule I own the ebony Salvi Orchestra pedal harp pictured above. I use it for all the gigs I play. It has 46 strings and adds a touch of elegance to any occasion. The harp is the most elegant and romantic of instruments. My harp is a little less than six feet tall and is appropriate for both intimate gatherings or for larger social or business occasions. A small selection of my solo repetoire is listed below. - The Girl with the Flaxen Hair by Debussy, arr, Carlos
Salzedo I also play Irish, Scottish, Welsh, and Spanish tunes, various hymns and classical pieces, show tunes, pop, and Christmas music. I take requests at no additional charge. If you are interested in hiring me for an event, please contact me via email or phone (314.578.1351) for a quote.
